About My Clients
I work with adults who are navigating the lasting impact of trauma or addiction and are ready to take steps toward healing and growth. Many of my clients come to me feeling weighed down by cycles of abandonment, depression, anxiety, or the pain of feeling unseen and misunderstood. My approach is compassionate and collaborative, blending evidence-based methods like EMDR with skill-building techniques and, when aligned with your values, the integration of spirituality.
My Background and Approach
Think of our work together as a collaboration. We’ll use a system and strategies to help you regain your footing by understanding why you’re always in “fight or flight” mode, building new structure and habits, and transforming your reactions to life’s challenges so that you can respond to them mindfully. We will do this through evidence-based interventions, skill building, and Spirituality. My goal is to help you reach your goals and create positive change, so you can live a life that feels balanced and fulfilling. In our work together, you’ll have a safe space to process the past while also learning practical tools for everyday life—so you can shift from reacting to triggers with overwhelm to responding with clarity, confidence, and self-compassion. Healing isn’t just about surviving difficult moments; it’s about reclaiming your sense of agency, strengthening your voice, and creating a more balanced, connected, and fulfilling future.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My approach treats mental health concerns, trauma/PTSD, and addiction through comprehensive and integrated care to create a bridge to joyous living and lasting wellness. This system of care gives clients a solid foundation to recover their lives and the tools they need to develop and maintain physical, mental, emotional, and, if they care to, spiritual wellness. I’ve been there, hurting and losing hope, stuck in a joyless life and unable to find or even figure out what I was looking for. Every glimpse of a mirror reminded me I was beaten to the point where I had to change or die…or worse, go on suffering in the same way. Only then did I discover it was necessary to take guidance and direction from those who knew what I did not. After three decades working in the recovery industry, I work to guide others down this path to another chance at life. Beyond empathy, I share common experiences that help me break through and make connections, and help others move forward with their lives.
