About My Clients

Do you feel like you're barely holding it together, always bracing for the next wave of stress, anger, or overwhelm? Maybe you're drinking more than you'd like, snapping at people you care about, or lying awake at night replaying old wounds. You're not broken—and you’re not alone. I help people who've been through a lot find solid ground again. Together, we’ll build the tools you need to feel calmer, clearer, and more in control.

My Background and Approach

Over the years, I’ve developed and refined a toolkit of practical, evidence-based strategies designed to help you regain control and find relief—even when anxiety, trauma, or overwhelming emotions feel relentless. My approach is direct and solution-focused, and I work collaboratively with you to address what’s happening right now, teaching discreet exercises you can carry with you anywhere for quick calm and clarity. With extensive training in CBT, ACT, and CPT, and years of experience working with veterans, first responders, and adults facing complex challenges, I help you understand how your brain and body respond to stress so you can build resilience and create lasting change. Therapy with me is about finding tools that fit your life and empowering you to thrive.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe people can change—because I see it happen every day. Our brains are wired for habit. They’re always trying to protect us, even when the habits we’ve learned end up keeping us stuck. But we also have the ability to pause and say, “Is this actually helping me?” That’s where therapy comes in. It’s a space to notice what your brain is doing and start making choices that serve who you are now. I try to live that way myself. Daily movement and meditation keep me grounded, and I find meaning in Buddhist philosophy—even though I’m not religious. Outside of work, I’m often hiking, camping, or helping out with my daughter’s Girl Scout troop. I’m a Naval Academy grad, a loyal Navy Football fan, and I never miss a Broncos. I also share life with two amazing dogs—a German Shepherd and an Australian Kelpie—who keep me present, playful, and always on my toes.
