About My Clients
Many of my clients come to see me struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, anxiety, perfectionism, relationship challenges, or major life transitions. Together, we'll work to understand the patterns keeping you stuck, strengthen self-trust, and build a healthier relationship with yourself so you can move through life with greater confidence, flexibility, and self-compassion.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed counselor. I specialize in helping clients who are struggling with disordered eating, eating disorders, over-exercising, and body image issues. All practices come from a body respect, Intuitive Eating and Health At Every Size perspective. While I am not working you will find me hanging out with my husband, two young children, Lucy and Matthew, our dog Lucky and friends and family. As a former school counselor with over a decade of experience, I enjoy working with children and their parents to help them in a variety of areas. However, the primary focus of my practice involves assisting clients struggling with body insecurity, eating disorders, disordered eating, over-exercising, and trauma. My passion for helping clients deal with these types of struggles stems from the fact that I, like countless others, have struggled with food and exercise. As a result, I have both a personal and professional insight in this area.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My work integrates attachment theory, parts work, psychodynamic therapy, CBT, and mindfulness while drawing from Health at Every Size® and Intuitive Eating principles. I believe healing comes from understanding the whole person, strengthening self-trust, and building sustainable habits that support both physical and emotional well-being
