I have extensive training in Solution Focused Brief Therapy. SFBT involves skillfully guiding clients to identify goals, craft personalized solutions, reinforce strengths, and collaborate to identify and execute meaningful and relevant outcomes. This goal oriented approach empowers individuals to discover their own solutions, build on their strengths and make positive changes in their lives.

I have completed Level 1 and 2 training on the Gottman Method. The Gottman Method is a research based approach to couples therapy and is designed to help couples strengthen their relationship and improve their communication and problem solving skills. It focuses on identifying behaviors and patterns that lead to relationship distress and places a large emphasis on building friendship and emotional connection, managing conflict effectively and creating shared meaning and goals.

CBT is a type of therapy that focuses on identifying and challenging negative thoughts and behaviors to promote positive changes in individuals' well being. CBT therapists such as myself, work collaboratively with clients to identify and reframe distorted thoughts, develop coping strategies and engage in behavioral experiments to test the accuracy of their beliefs. CBT aims to empower individuals to manage their emotions and cultivate healthier ways of thinking and behaving.

Anxiety is a common and natural human response to stressful or threatening situations. It is characterized by feelings of unease, worry, and fear, often accompanied by physical symptoms such as increased heart rate, trembling, and sweating. While occasional anxiety can be a normal part of life, excessive and persistent anxiety can become a mental health disorder that significantly impacts daily functioning and well-being.

Depression is a mental health condition characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, emptiness, and a loss of interest or pleasure in activities. It goes beyond normal fluctuations in mood and can significantly impact a person's thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and overall functioning. Depression can have various causes, including biological factors, such as imbalances in brain chemicals, as well as psychological and environmental factors, such as trauma, stress, or significant life events.
