My Background and Approach
I am a Master's level clinical social worker who specializes in helping teens and young adults feel in control of their symptoms related to Anxiety, Depression, Adjustment Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I value building a rapport with all my clients so they feel safe and not vulnerable. I have 10 plus years experience in individual and family services, social skills groups, school advocacy and psychological evaluations. I promise to meet you where you are and support your journey toward where you want to be. I utilize aspects from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Play Therapy and Mindfulness to teach clients how to shift the focus away from what we cannot control and onto what we can. I embrace and affirm all sexualities, gender identities and expressions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we are not supposed to face life's hardships alone. I also believe it is scary to ask for help. It has become standard to take care of our bodies through exercise and it is time for it to become standard that we take care of our minds as well. You are worth the investment into your mental health.
