About My Clients
My clients are creative, introspective adults who haven't had children. Some chose not to, and come to therapy because they are searching for ways to live a meaningful outside of raising a family. Others desperately want to have children and come to therapy to help manage the emotional pain of not yet having their dreams of parenthood fullfilled.
My Background and Approach
I went into private practice back in 1999 because I wanted the freedom to work my clients in the manner that was most helpful to them. I believe that my client and I should work as a team to achieve their goal for treatment, and NOT the insurance company. I wanted the freedom to see my clients as people with unique strengths and interesting stories NOT as billable hours or diagnostic codes. That was my goal back when I first opened my practice and it is still how I feel and operate with each of the people I work with today.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I whole heartedly believe in the power of talk therapy because I see how it makes a difference in the lives of the people I listen to each day. I hear my clients tell me how much better they feel after we've talked and I see how their lives change once they've truly felt listened too. Having someone you can open up to who won't judge you, correct you or pressure you is any way is absolutely priceless!
