This approach considers the individual as a "whole" across multiple domains; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It understands the interconnected and interdependent parts of the self, with change in one area affecting the others. One's life story, moods, behaviors, somatic experiences and belief systems are seen as an integrated part of the whole person. This better attunes one to their entire awareness of self which can create greater self-understanding and less life resistance.

Trained in both traditional and non-traditional treatment modalities, I draw from multiple evidence-based approaches tailored to best meet the unique presenting needs of the client and their orientation. This allows for more personalized and client-centered care and can utilize a number of different frameworks - cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, psychodynamic, motivational interviewing, strengths-based, etc.

Transpersonal therapy emphasizes one's spiritual path and, in essence, focuses on the transcendent aspect of the soul's journey. Working toward self-actualization and enlightenment to expand human growth and potential, the result is greater integration of our disowned/unconscious parts, emphasizing intimacy with the deep core of our essential self. Archetypal astrology helps illuminate thematic potential and objectifies the inherent motivational drives prominent in one's life.

Increasing insight allows one to more easily align with their true desires and intentions, better able to actualize a sense of purpose and better able to respond and not react to the hiccups of daily life. We can work toward greater meaning-making of life's events and a sense of radical acceptance of the facts of our circumstances.

Highly sensitive or highly empathic individuals can struggle with emotional overload. Empaths are natural givers who need to be mindful of their own limits. There can be a tendency toward exploitation by "takers," as empathy is an invaluable resource. Being more susceptible to narcissistic abuse and co-dependency, our work can address self-protection in this regard.
