About My Clients
I work primarily with black and brown populations struggling with feelings of anxiety, navigating life transitions and relationship issues. I also support clients experiencing gender issues and processing trauma who are seeking healing, empowerment and to break old patterns. I know it's not easy to ask for help or to talk about certain things but, I will strive to create an environment in which you feel comfortable, supported and aren't judged.
My Background and Approach
I utilize integrative psychotherapy with an anti-oppressive and intersectional lens to provide empathetic care tailored to the specific needs of my clients. I am invested in working with black and brown populations, especially young professionals and women of color. This stems from my own experiences as a black woman of Jamaican and Puerto Rican descent. I aim to help individuals improve their overall mental health and to have a more balanced life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My approach to therapy is culturally sensitive, relational and holistic. I firmly believe that all clients deserve a safe space that is understanding of their identity and how they exist and operate within the world. I understand that every individual is layered and complex and aim to support, challenge and empathize with all parts of you.
