About My Clients
People come to see me who are interested in bettering themselves, managing stress, and gaining more self awareness and confidence. Sometimes my clients are struggling with anxiety, depression, and may be going through a major transition in life. Clients that see me are interested in feeling “unstuck” in their lives and have a desire for change and a want to move on. Does it feel too difficult to move on after having a significant loss? Allow me to guide you in helping get out of that “funk.”
My Background and Approach
My areas of expertise include grief and loss, depression, life transitions, caregiver stress and support. I also specialize in relationship issues, isolation and loneliness, and adjusting to lifestyle changes due to an illness. I utilize a solution-oriented approach that helps clients learn self-soothing and healthy coping techniques. I also find that a therapy approach that is humanistic, client-centered, and mindful, allows for deeper self awareness. I guide my clients to ultimately find balance in their life and feel empowered to live authentically, and I offer a space for clients to explore emotions and discover a way to live the life they want. My objective is to have my clients leave therapy feeling that they are in control of their lives and confident in their choices.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal motto is to "start before you are ready." This has been helpful for me in all aspects of my life so far, so i'm going to keep going! Starting has always been the most difficult step for me, but I've found that once I overcome that challenge, then the anxiety decreases and it doesn't feel so intimidating anymore. I've gone through depression myself and have a therapist for my own mental health wellness. I am also a ceramicist in my spare time and love to use my creativity as an outlet. I support the BLM movement and am an advocate for LGBTQI rights. I am an open book if there are any questions you have for me.
