I provide a lot of education regarding the stages of grief and loss. I also discuss and suggest ways of coping in a way that utilizes your strengths. Having an alternative perspective can really help you develop insight. Some people struggle with complicated grief and I can assist you manage those complex feelings.

Are you going through a major change in your life? Examples include a marriage, a move, a recent empty nester, a job change a full time caregiver. I can help you with adjusting to this phase in your life by providing a safe space to provide support, discuss impact of the transition and discuss what you are feeling and how to manage those feelings effectively. Additionally, we can discuss what it may be bringing up for you from the past and this can help you with clarity.

Are you feeling worried and stressed? I can help you find strategies for managing and controlling anxious thoughts by various techniques including distraction, reframing self-defeating thoughts, focusing on the positive, to name just a few. I can work with you to learn mindfulness and grounding techniques that will be effective for you in feeling at peace and feeling calm. During sessions I will help you look inward to find out what may be coming up for you and help you learn how to process.

Through couples counseling I help couples discuss and identify what the vision is for their relationship. I help them discuss and identify areas for change and improvement. Many couples struggle with communication as well as reigniting the spark in their relationship. Life has many demands and at times couples have a hard time juggling it all. At times some couples experience infidelity and couples counseling can help to restore and rebuild the trust.

My special skill set is helping busy anxious professionals learn techniques and develop tools to address anxiety, stress, and burnout. I can help you lessen your mental load by teaching useful anxiety management skills. What you need is some extra emotional support, a space to talk honestly about how you really feel, reliable information on anxiety management tools will really work, and help to change up your self-talk so that you can be your own cheerleader.

Many people experience various lossses and changes as they get older. Change and loss is inevitable and obtaining professional support during this time can really help you cope effectively.
