My clients are people of all ages struggling with addiction, trauma, and other stressors that disrupt their lives. When we are exposed to traumatic events, our emotions can feel overwhelming, painful, and confusing. So often life can begin to unravel as we try to find anything to help us cope when things feel unmanageable. My Background and Approach
I have worked in the addiction and mental health field for over a decade. During this time, I have been so inspired by my resilient and courageous clients who are doing everything they can to reclaim their lives and find relief from suffering. In our work together, I will honor the creative strategies you’ve developed to survive and assist you in exploring how you can begin to truly thrive. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities based on the unique needs of each client including CBT to develop adaptive ways of responding, DBT to promote mindfulness and acceptance of change, trauma-based interventions to work through difficult life experiences, Internal Family Systems to unpack childhood traumas and develop a deeper understanding of the self, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to foster change by embracing emotions, and Motivational Enhancement Therapy to identify what motivates you and what you really want out of your life.
