I love helping you to feel better about yourself and often use a variety of techniques for self-esteem growth, such as music (playlists for different intentions, lyric analysis, drumming- yes even virtually), art (creating metaphors/imagery, journaling), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (challenging thoughts that bring anxiety/stress, sadness/depression).

To help you with anxiety, we can go down a tailored path to your needs, such as if you are more of a physical person we focus on relief in physical ways (such as progressive muscle relaxation), but if you are more of a cognitive/in your head person, we focus on those techniques (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy thought challenging). And don't forget art or music! I want you to get the most out of your sessions so we will work together to decrease anxiety to have you feel in control.

For ADHD help, we can use a variety of techniques, such as Behavioral Modification (working with a 15/30 method for tasks), incentives/physical/cognitive motivation, or musical interventions (certain concentration skills respond well). My whole career of 22 years has consisted of working with people who have ADHD so it is a top area of passion for me.

I was trained with person-centered therapy as the basis, meaning unconditional positive regard for you and knowing you are the expert in the room. I facilitate your movement, but you know you best. This approach is extremely Humantistic and aligns with my values to honor you as a person and equal in our sessions.

I've always been an artist and musician, but you don't need to be to use expressive arts in therapy! My training over my career has included many professional classes, but a highlight is being a trained Remo HealthRHYTHMS Drumming Facilitator. I've used my skills in individual sessions, group therapy, and in the community in large groups.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a strong basis in my sessions, since I believe many of our concerns can be relieved by logical thinking and knowing you have options, leading to feel more free and less stuck. The sense of control you'll achieve from using CBT is exciting and I can't wait to share it with you.
