It's extremely isolating trying to manage everything you are dealing with. No one gets it, even though they say they do, which is infuriating and only makes you feel more isolated. You are becoming a pressure cooker and can't continue to hold it all on your own, but you have no idea where to start. (And "starting" sounds terrifying in and of itself.) "Avoiding" has been the route you take, but it's becoming harder and harder to keep things from coming to the surface.
My Background and Approach
You need a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can FINALLY let it ALL out, not just the parts that feel most comfortable. This can be that place. I am a LGBTQIA+ and relationship minority (i.e. CNM) affirming therapist. I have lived experience, that I am able to bring into the room with permission, if that's helpful to you. The mental health system can further other-ize individuals who already feel other-ized by the rest of the world, and I am determined to not let that happen here. YOU are the expert of your own life, experiences and story. I want you to be able to shed whatever mask you walk through the world with and find solace that you will not be judged or ostracized.
