About My Clients

My clients are young and mid-life adults who are navigating life transitions and challenges with relationships, parenthood, and their own sense of self. Many of my clients are healing their relationship with food and body, and attempting to break free from disordered eating patterns. I often work with parents who are engaging in the therapeutic process to transform their own relationship with food and body so they can model more compassionate ways of being for their children.

My Background and Approach

My approach to therapy is rooted in curiosity, respect, and flexibility. I bring deep empathy and humor to our work together, attempting to honor and balance the hard work of therapy with our shared experience as humans navigating the world. My work is both intuitive and rooted in therapeutic interventions and theory that helps create change and leaves you feeling understood and heard. As a Certified Body Trust Provider® through The Center for Body Trust (formerly Be Nourished), my work is heavily informed by my commitment to respect and honor all bodies, as well as Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size principals.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy is a radical act and has tremendous potential to change our inner worlds and the ways we interact with others. In the therapy room, you are the expert of your own experience and your wisdom offers important insight for our work together. I find connecting through our shared humanness is powerful. Slowing down and adopting curiosity is one of the most potent ways to develop compassion for ourselves and make it through life with more ease. I find it crucially important, as a therapist and person, to dismantle weight stigma and fatphobia. I aim to create a therapeutic environment that upholds the principals of anti oppression work by creating a space that is honoring of all clients, regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender, disability, and body size.
