About My Clients

I am passionate about working with LGBTQ+ individuals. I especially enjoy supporting young adults as they navigate identity, relationships, and life transitions. My goal is to provide a safe, affirming space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Through compassionate guidance, I help individuals build resilience, self-acceptance, and the skills needed to thrive in their personal and professional lives.

My Background and Approach

I am a dedicated, person-centered therapist with vast experience working with individuals across the lifespan, from ages 5 to 105. With 15 years in the field, I have had the privilege of supporting diverse clients through various life stages and challenges. I have extensive experience working with LGBTQ+ populations, providing a safe, affirming space where individuals can explore their identities, relationships, and personal growth. My approach is compassionate, client-driven, and tailored to each person’s unique needs. Whether helping young adults navigate transitions, supporting individuals through mental health challenges, or guiding older adults through life’s changes, I strive to foster self-acceptance, resilience, and empowerment. I believe in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship and am committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment where every client feels heard, valued, and understood.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a passionate advocate for inclusivity, mental health awareness, and social justice. As a strong supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, I helped plan the first Gay Pride in Mississippi in 2002, a milestone in creating visibility and acceptance. I am dedicated to providing a safe, affirming space where individuals of all identities feel seen, heard, and valued. Beyond counseling, I support mental health initiatives, suicide prevention efforts, and organizations promoting LGBTQ+ rights. My approach is rooted in compassion, understanding, and the belief that everyone deserves support on their journey to healing and self-acceptance. I strive to empower my clients to live authentically while fostering resilience and a sense of belonging.
