About My Clients
I work best with adolescents and adults who are struggling with their mental health, relationships and self-esteem, as well as those transitioning to and from college. I also work well with those who have been impacted by addiction in some way and may be working to get sober or cope with recent relapses. I help you develop strong and effective coping skills to help navigate life's stressors in a way that feels comfortable for you.
My Background and Approach
My background in clinical mental health counseling has allowed me to work with a diverse group of individuals over the years. I have spent many years treating addiction in PHP/IOP settings and have also conducted outpatient groups and family sessions to help the individual struggling. With this, I have often worked with dual diagnosis, as untreated mental health concerns (including trauma) can contribute to substance abuse. Currently, I am working in private practice and enjoy being able to help individuals on a deep and personal level. I believe that therapy should be tailored to the individual's specific needs. There is no specific "road map" to follow that gets us to where we want to be, but part of therapy is exploring and figuring out your own path. You are the expert on yourself, and together we work to create whatever happiness looks like for you.
