I have been working with adults struggling with codependent patterns for most of my career. I help patients to increase their awareness of their codependent patterns while empowering them to create adaptive patterns that align more closely with who they are and support their desire for healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

As a Black American woman, I am intimately acquainted with the plight of BIPOC in our nation and in the global community. In addition to understanding how cultural and systemic factors color my patients' personal experiences, I work with my patients to address the emotional, social, mental, and spiritual impact systemic oppression has on them while providing them with the tools to cope with these types of stressors on a daily basis.

I help my patients to recover from PTSD using compassionate, evidence-based approaches to care. I use EMDR, CBT, and narrative therapy in the treatment of trauma-along with other proven approaches. Each of my patients' trauma is different and the way I approach each of their mental health challenges is different. I understand trauma...and I walk my patients through the recovery process in a safe, nurturing, therapeutic environment that creates space for healing.
