About My Clients
Do anxiety, panic, or low mood make life feel heavier than it should? Have you thought about therapy but haven’t felt ready to take the leap? I work with adults 18+, including LGBTQIA+ folks, offering a supportive space where we use humor, CBT, DBT, attachment-based, and trauma-informed approaches to help you feel understood, build practical tools, and leave therapy a little lighter.
My Background and Approach
Chrissy Polsonetti, LICSW (she, her, hers) is a BSW graduate of Boston University/Wheelock College and an MSW graduate of Boston College. She has years of experience in the nonprofit clinical sector, fulfilling roles in hospitals, community mental health centers, and outpatient psychiatry. Chrissy takes on a nurturing, holistic, and laid-back perspective to therapy. She offers an eclectic approach incorporating attachment based, emotion-focused, trauma informed care, as well as CBT and DBT. She specializes in Anxiety and Mood Disorders with individuals 18+. She enjoys working with individuals who identify within the LGBTQIA+ community! Chrissy has an extensive background in community outreach, diagnostic clarification and psychotherapy. In her free time you can find Chrissy enjoying live music, traveling, and spending time with her cat – Peppy (who you may see in the background of your sessions).
