About My Clients

If you've stumbled across my page, you're looking for a change. Maybe you aren’t sure what that looks like just yet. Maybe you really want things to be different but just can’t find the motivation to make these changes. Well, I’m happy you’re here. I truly believe in the power of therapy and have dedicated my professional career to helping many people, like yourselves, start on the path to a more meaningful life. Don't quit now, we can continue to explore what this change can look like together.

My Background and Approach

As a trauma specialist, I believe it is of the utmost importance to keep my skillset sharp. I am trained in some of the most utilized trauma treatment protocols including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Pain (CBT-P) Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). These are some of the most powerful treatment modalities that can help just about anyone work through their struggles. I understand most may not be familiar with these clinical interventions. The goal of stating my credentials is not to throw acronyms at you, but rather, to highlight my advanced clinical studies and certifications in these treatments. I hope doing so will give you the confidence of knowing you are working with a professional who is dedicated and invested in your emotional well-being.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I became a Social Worker because I love helping people. I worked in various settings including community mental health and non-profit organizations. I loved my job and helping others, but I wasn’t quite satisfied. Something was missing. So, I joined the military. While serving Active Duty, I ran both the substance abuse program and family advocacy program (sometimes simultaneously). Through these experiences, I realized my passion lied in helping those who have suffered profound trauma within their experiences (whether that be from abusive relationships or through exposure to war in any capacity). I set my professional goal to become a specialist in the treatment of trauma with military, law enforcement and first responders. I’ve seen your pain and can help you work through it, as I have helped countless others. I am dedicated to walking beside you as you begin your journey.
