About My Clients
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, trauma-based disorders, women issues, adjustment disorders, and life transitions. I have a special interest in helping clients process trauma, make mind body connections, and discover/connect with their inner artist. I have worked with a variety of populations including members of the military, working professionals, and members of the LGBTQ2S+ community.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is strength-based and person-centered, and my style is holistic and eclectic. I believe we are multifunctional beings who process in many ways. Therefore, in art therapy sessions, I utilize a variety of art materials and diverse methods and techniques to include ecotherapy, narrative therapy, play therapy, psychodynamic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). I have delivered therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups in a wide range of settings, including a school-based program for youth with developmental and behavioral challenges, outpatient behavioral health clinics, and psychiatric inpatient units. I have clinical experience helping clients cope with anxiety, mood disorders, thought disorders, personality disorders, self-harm, and suicidal ideation.
