About My Clients
I specialize in working with folks who frequently feel misunderstood, and classify themselves as highly sensitive. I work with adolescents, teens, and adults: ages 10-50. I gently help those working through depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, disordered eating, codependency, and developing their innate self of worth. I will reference your inner child, and encourage them to come out.
My Background and Approach
New-York born and raised! I spent some time in North Carolina, and now I'm ready to get to know the folks in beautiful Minnesota. I am person-centered, and believe that the relationship between client and therapist is sacred and important to the healing process. I consider myself humanistic in style, yet will incorporate both psychodynamic and solution-focused approaches in our work together. I am also a certified mental health coach, and can use coaching as a tool in our work together as well. If you like astrology, I am the therapist for you. I have been using astrology and tarot cards as part of my own spiritual practice for ten years and would be happy to use that, if you like!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapists have a personal responsibility to have a social justice approach to their work. I utilize feminist theory to help clients unpack how society and oppressive practices are at play in their healing and growth. As a HAES (Health at Every Size) advocate, I strongly believe in an anti-diet culture approach.
