About My Clients
I have had the privilege of supporting teens, adults, couples, and families in reaching their goals from self-esteem, relationship issues, parenting, mood, stress, and more. My clients range from parents feeling helpless in finding the next step to help their child, people feeling swallowed by anxiety, bogged down by a fog of depression, trying to figure out how to take control of their ADHD to be successful and improve functioning, or unsure what to do next in their marriage or family.
My Background and Approach
I have more than 9 years of professional experience in the mental health field. I earned a Master's degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. My personal approach to therapy moves as far away from a cookie-cutter and “one size fits all” experience as possible. I like to say my sessions simply consist of people having conversations that are private and without judgement. If you’re looking for a therapist that feels like you’re talking to a real person while using effective evidenced-based approaches, we might be a good fit. You take the lead in our time together while we design our sessions to your unique strengths, needs, talents, and interests. I embrace leaning into various forms of emotional expression such as art therapy, play therapy, and creative arts. We take a structured approach that regularly measures your progress to make sure you complete your treatment with real outcomes and in short - I’m not wasting your time.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe our experiences serve as the footprints to our thoughts, feeling, and outlook on the world and people around us. Our body keeps score of the pain and love we encountered throughout our lifetime. I believe nature and life alike exists within this balance to expand our capacity as humans to continue growing, evolving, and loving. Everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and receive quality care from all backgrounds. Every race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, etc. deserves to be supported in reaching the version of themselves and their lives that they desire.
