About My Clients
I approach all of my work from a neurodivergent affirming, trauma-informed lens. My focus areas are: late diagnosed neurodivergent folk with burnout or wanting to explore their neurodivergence, adults with childhood trauma, emphasis on trauma from caregivers, helping children process trauma, children and teens with difficulties at school or home, parent coaching for neurodivergent families.
My Background and Approach
Over my time as a therapist, I have had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life. I have worked with adults experiencing acute trauma and mental health needs in an intensive in-patient setting, worked with children and teens in school systems, supported parents, and worked in group practice providing therapy and parent coaching. My focus has been on trauma, neurodivergent folks, and supporting parents in creating calmer households.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strive to have cultural humility, learning about those things which I do not know and listening to my clients about what is important to them. My goal is to help all my clients have more awareness and control of their minds and bodies so that they have the freedom to choose something different. In session, I am both caring but truthful and upfront. I hold space for client’s emotions and needs while also gentling pointing out places where they may be stuck. I do not work with and do not support ABA. I work within my scope of practice and regularly confer with other practitioners to make sure my clients receive the best care.
