About My Clients
My focus areas include: trauma (including abuse, complex PTSD, and "little T" trauma), eating disorders and body image distress, and men's issues (relationship challenges, isolation, stress) I work with adults as well as adolescents (16+) and their caregivers.
My Background and Approach
My work is rooted in relational-cultural theory, which means I pay attention to how relationships, power, and culture shape well-being. My clients appreciate my direct and "real" approach - I’m not a passive therapist and I value two-way feedback and humor. I integrate somatic approaches and EMDR to support nervous system healing. I have also been a dietitian since 2012. My work in higher level of care eating disorders led to pursuit of more training to better support healing from the trauma often underlying eating disorders. I work well with clients who have stepped down from higher level of care treatment, or find it inaccessible or unhelpful.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am fat liberation aligned and neurodiversity-affirming.
