My Background and Approach
I have the knowledge and experience in your typical cognitive/behavioral approaches that work well to manage the surface level fires of every day life-until they don't. As a somatic therapist, I believe there is always a deeper layer. One we may have been pushing aside for quite some time. But the only way to help with the NOW, is to allow your body to feel through the trauma and emotions it has held inside up until this point. We don't have to remember the thoughts and memories, but we do owe it to our bodies to acknowledge all they are trying to make us aware of that is no longer benefiting us.
