About My Clients
I enjoy working with clients age 13-40 that are open to using creativity and art in session. You don't have to be 'good' at art to do art therapy! My art therapy specialty allows me to guide clients towards their goals in a nonverbal and expressive way that they might find more comfortable than traditional talk therapy. Whether you want to draw for stress relief, paint to reflect, or use collage to express feelings that would like a release, we can work together to reach your goals.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in Art Therapy and also utilize techniques from CBT and DBT to give clients many different routes of expression and different ways to interact with me and seek help. I have 7 years of experience in outpatient therapy. The areas of concern that I have the most experience with are mood disorders, trauma history, difficulty with anger management, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and self-harm treatment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value art as a language and a form of connection while maintaining a safe and cozy therapeutic space for creative expression to occur. I am a committed ally to the LGTBQ+ community and work to exemplify this in both my professional work and my personal life through my support of loved ones and my engagement with community spaces that are committed to being safe spaces for all. Outside of therapy, I love board games with friends, my two cats Cotton and Waffles, painting in my studio, and fantasy and sci-fi books and movies.
