About My Clients
I see individuals, couples, teens, young adults, and working professionals. I understand there is both beauty and struggle for immigrant families and Asian Americans who find themselves in the 1.5 and 2nd generation. I serve both the Los Angeles and Orange County communities in southern California, and am available to work with all California residents. I am also fluent in Mandarin and can provided services in Chinese.
My Background and Approach
Much of my interest and my training has been rooted from Psychodynamic theory and more specifically I approach a lot of my work from an Attachment perspective. Attachment theory I believe is so relatable and relevant to all human beings no matter what their journey looks like because everyone was young and a kid at one point. I did much of my in-depth training working with college age students, including many who had faith backgrounds, as well as many who didn't. I have also been trained in EMDR.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person was created for a purpose and with a purpose. It is never too late to want to grow, and therapy is for everyone. Our understanding of ourselves only becomes enhanced as we learn to engage in healthy relationships with other human beings. I don't believe I'm the right fit for everyone, but I definitely believe I am the perfect fit for others who are seeking therapy. I encourage you to really find a therapist who you feel aligns with your values. And if you don't find the right therapist first time around, don't give up!
