About My Clients
My ideal clients are motivated to take steps to better care for themselves and their most important relationships. I have been joining with families for five years to uncover strengths and strategies to best position the family for success. My clients are the experts on their own lives and have the power to create lasting change.
My Background and Approach
By far, the most important aspect of the treatment process is the quality of the relationship between the client and their therapist. Numerous studies have shown that the therapeutic relationship matters more than a specific modality or level of experience. I work to build a connection built on trust and a nonjudgemental stance. Of course, once a relationship has been established, there is work to do. I draw from a number of treatment modalities when working with clients: solution-focused, strengths based, psychodynamic, and narrative therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a stepmother myself, I understand how confusing and exhausting the process of "blending" a family can be. Let's talk.
