About My Clients
My ideal client is a child, adolescent or college student facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, or behavioral issues. They may struggle with feelings of isolation, low self-esteem or difficulty in school and social situations. Their needs include a safe space to express themselves, guidance in developing coping strategies, and support in navigating their emotions. Their primary goals are to build resilience, improve self-confidence and enhance their ability to manage stress.
My Background and Approach
As a licensed mental health counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, and young adults. With years of experience in schools, community organizations, and private practice, I understand the unique challenges young people face, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change negative thought patterns, equipping them with tools for resilience. For younger children, I incorporate play therapy techniques, enabling them to express emotions safely and effectively. My approach fosters a supportive environment where clients feel heard and valued, enhancing their ability to communicate and build trust. By empowering young individuals to understand themselves better and develop coping strategies, I aim to help them thrive now and in the future.
