About My Clients
Whether your relationship with your partner or ex is conflicted or cordial, or you are a single parent, I know you want the best for your child. You worry that your stress, anxiety, short temper, and impatience will have a negative life-long impact. You can parent with confidence, experience a better relationship with your child, and see improvements in your child's behavior when you have the support you deserve.
My Background and Approach
With expertise in child development and counseling children, I offer an objective, non-judgmental approach to work through whatever parenting challenge you have. Children are reflections of their parents' emotional wellbeing. When the adults get support and make changes, children thrive. Behavior improves, home life is more peaceful, and children are freed from unnecessary stress. If you are considering divorce or are already separated from your co-parent, your parenting needs change. You know your ex loves your child, but you don't agree with your ex's approach. Co-parenting work can help. Together we will build a framework for decision-making and create a unified parenting system. You can build a healthy relationship with your ex while staying focused on the needs of your child, even if you disagree. All of my services are virtual, and I work with individuals or parenting teams.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Where did you learn about parenting? Chances are, you were not taught. And the sheer number of parenting books and websites show that even the “experts” don’t agree on how to parent. So it's no surprise that you feel stuck, stressed, and frustrated! I understand how personal parenting can be, how challenging it is to parent when so much conflicting advice exists. I will work with you to understand your parenting goals and values. Together we will create a plan to dismantle the obstacles that prevent you from feeling successful as a parent. Whether you have a specific struggle in mind (such as solving bedtime or screen time battles), or you are frustrated by bigger-picture stressors (such as feeling like the other parent gets to be the "fun" one), I can help. All parents want what is best for their children. Let me help you find the balance between what works for you, your co-parent, and your children.
