About My Clients
Though not necessary my clients may identify as gentle souls, sensitive, soft-spoken, creatives or those seeking to find creative connection, experiencing depression, grief, healing from trauma, may be processing anger, experiencing anxiety, life transitions, identity formation, or loneliness. They hope to feel a little less uncertain and learn about their own light within. They feel open and motivated toward change and ready to put in the hard work it will take to unfurl their path.
My Background and Approach
To aid my clients I practice the following Theoretical Orientations/approaches; Humanistic Client-Centered Therapy, Transpersonal Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, aspects of Internal Family Systems, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy for trauma, Attachment Theory, and elements of Somatic Therapy. I received my Master's of Arts in Clinical Counseling with an emphasis in Transpersonal Art Therapy from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. At Naropa, my education emphasis was on offering Client-Centered Therapy with a Critical Consciousness Social Justice lens.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
By use of visual metaphor inspired by art-making and re-connection with nature, I provide trauma-informed Client-Centered Therapy with a Critical Consciousness Social Justice lens. It is my aspiration to encourage clients of all ages to explore their identities, patterns, & relationships. I believe that healing is done in connection to each other and is a matter of holding all that you feel in your heart while having the courage to re-write your narrative at your own pace. A process that leads to integration and discovery of our personal truths. I recognize that stressful lived experiences may cause hardships in our lives and potentially lead to mental conditions that yearn for tenderness and care. Through offering a compassionate approach I strive to offer my natural warmth and non-judgmental curiosity to my clients regardless of identity, past history, cultural background, and economic status. I hope we may cross paths therapeutically and walk together as fellow travellers.
