About My Clients
I work with adults who are looking for support around their mental health and life transitions, such as grief/loss, significant changes such as child birth, separation/divorce, job change, substance use, illness.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of Washington, and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Oregon. I received my Bachelor’s Degree at Hunter College, CUNY; and my Master of Arts in Clinical Health Psychology at Appalachian State University in 2011. My style is integrative, which means that I draw from various theoretical schools of thoughts in my practice, including but not limited to, Psychodynamic theory, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Attachment Theory, Solution focused therapy, and Mindfulness. After working with a variety of populations from different cultures and in various settings, I find that different approaches are suitable for different people depending on the particular time and challenges. My approach is nonjudgmental, respectful, curious and caring. I believe in the inherent power of healing, change and growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the inherent power of healing. Our journeys may look different, yet we all need support at some point in our lives; we don't have to do it alone. I focus on your current challenges and finding ways to overcome them at your pace while in a safe environment.
