Accepting Clients

For me, therapy is about building trust and creating a safe space for you to explore thoughts, feelings, and ideas. Let's get started.

Clinical Social Worker in Bourbonnais, IL

About My Clients

I work well with adults and teens navigating anxiety, depression, identity shifts, life transitions, or relationship challenges. Many of my clients feel stuck, burned out, or disconnected—from themselves, their values, or the people around them. I often support LGBTQ+ individuals, deep thinkers, and those who’ve spent years caring for everyone but themselves. If you're craving clarity, connection, or a deeper sense of purpose, I offer a grounded, supportive space to move forward with intention.

My Background and Approach

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor with over a decade of experience across outpatient mental health, substance use treatment, inpatient psychiatry, IOP, community mental health, hospice, and private practice. For the past 8 years, I’ve supported teens, adults, first responders, men, and LGBTQ+ individuals through life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and identity concerns. I’m trained in EMDR and draw from mindfulness, CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed care in a way that’s flexible, grounded, and collaborative. My approach is person-centered and strengths-based—I believe therapy should be a space where you feel understood, supported, and genuinely seen. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of your next steps, I’ll meet you with curiosity and care. Together, we’ll explore what’s working, what’s not, and what might help you move forward with more clarity and intention—at a pace that feels right for you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy should feel real, human, and grounded. I show up as myself—compassionate, open-minded, and approachable—with a sense of humor when it fits. I’m passionate about creating space for people who’ve felt unseen, dismissed, or pressured to fit into roles that never felt right. As a gay man who’s had my own mental health journey, I know how powerful it can be to feel genuinely seen and supported. I care deeply about authenticity, autonomy, and equity. I’m LGBTQ-affirming, sex-positive, body-neutral, and supportive of harm reduction and neurodiversity. I’m also an advocate for mental health access, trauma-informed care, and reducing stigma—especially for men, teens, and first responders. Outside the therapy room, I value creativity, quiet, humor, and connection. I believe growth doesn’t come from being “fixed,” but from being supported in becoming more fully yourself. If you're looking for someone real, thoughtful, and easy to talk to—I’d be honored to do this work with you.
