About My Clients
Whether seeking therapy or assessment, I hope to create a trusting space where you can bring all parts of yourself - the misunderstood, the uncertain, the imperfect, the overwhelmed, and everything in between! I specialize in supporting individuals who identify as neurodivergent, helping them understand their differences, embrace their strengths and move toward celebration of their unmasked, authentic selves. I work with individuals across the life span, from children (age 10+) to adults.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is fundamentally person-centered, prioritizing a warm therapeutic relationship at its core. I believe that it is this secure relationship that promotes healing and meaningful growth. Feeling truly seen and understood, just as you are, is essential in the therapeutic process. Therapy can be a little like venturing into the depths of a cave - filled with uncertainty and the unknown. As your fellow traveler and guide, my role is to walk you through the darkness to help you feel less alone and support you with discovering the treasures that await. My approach with clients is individualized and integrative, though I tend to use emotion-focused, attachment-informed, and experiential therapies. I use humor and laughter when needed and bring my curious and playful spirit into the therapy room. One of my favorite approaches when working with clients is "inner child" work - in essence, learning to nurture our younger, wounded parts with care that we needed long ago.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that even in times of darkness, there is a spark of hope that can be reignited and transformed into a burning flame. This belief is what inspired my practice's name - Ember Psychology Center. I believe that true growth and healing happens when you feel fully seen and supported just as you are. That's why I hope to create a space where you can bring all parts of yourself and here we will explore these parts as a path to self-discovery and movement toward embracing your authentic self. Outside of Ember, you’ll likely find me sipping on a cup of coffee or tea, adventuring outdoors with my golden retriever, trying new restaurants, creating digital artwork, or getting lost in a good book. If you want to learn more about me and assess our compatibility, I offer free 15-minute consultations where you can ask questions and explore whether my approach aligns with your therapy goals.
