About My Clients
My clients are often navigating anxiety, depression, grief, recovery, shame, relationship patterns, or major life transitions. You may feel disconnected from yourself, overwhelmed by your emotions, or tired of repeating patterns you understand but can’t seem to change. I work with people who want to better understand themselves, build a more compassionate relationship with their emotions, and feel more grounded in their lives. You don’t need to have everything figured out.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and art therapist with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Transpersonal Art Therapy from Naropa University. My experience includes hospice, addiction treatment, and inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, which has shaped my ability to sit alongside people through grief, uncertainty, change, and the parts of life that can feel difficult to put into words. My approach is warm, relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in curiosity rather than judgment. I integrate evidence-based practices with mindfulness, parts work, art therapy, and experiential approaches based on what feels supportive to you. I believe therapy isn’t about “fixing” who you are—it’s about understanding yourself more deeply, building trust in your own experience, and creating space for new ways of being. Together, we’ll explore patterns, strengthen emotional resilience, and help you reconnect with yourself and find your way home.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer person, I deeply value creating spaces where people can show up as their full, authentic selves. My worldview is rooted in social justice, inclusivity, curiosity, and respect for the many identities and experiences that shape who we are. I believe our mental health cannot always be separated from the systems, communities, relationships, and environments we live within. I also believe deeply in our connection to the natural world. With a background in outdoor education, returning to nature has long been an important source of grounding, meaning, and reconnection in my own life. I value slowing down, spending less time consumed by technology, creating with our hands, connecting with community, and remembering that being human is about more than productivity. These values inform the space I hope to create in therapy: affirming, socially conscious, creative, compassionate, and welcoming of all the parts of who you are.
