About My Clients
I work primarily with children and adolescents navigating mental health concerns and the many changes that come with growing up, with a special focus on anxiety and OCD. I also understand how difficult it can be as a parent or caregiver to watch your child struggle and not always know how to help. An important part of my work is helping families better understand what their child is experiencing and find ways to support them both in and outside of therapy.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) working toward full licensure. My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) when working with anxiety and OCD. I also enjoy bringing games, play, and creativity into sessions to help younger clients feel comfortable and engaged. I approach my work through a trauma-informed lens, recognizing that each client's experiences and needs are unique.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy starts with feeling safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. Building a trusting relationship with my clients is incredibly important to me, and I want each person I work with to know they have someone in their corner who will meet them with empathy, patience, and encouragement. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where clients can be themselves, recognize their strengths, and grow more confident in their ability to navigate life's challenges. Most importantly, I hope my clients leave therapy believing in themselves and feeling more confident in who they are and what they can handle.
