About My Clients
Experiencing depression, anxiety, relational conflict, self-sabotaging behavior, and persistent feelings of "not enough" rooted in early attachment trauma.
My Background and Approach
Chiwon discovered her love for people and their life stories while working at a public health non-profit in NYC. Going on to get her MSW and interning at the Ackerman Institute for the Family, she worked in various capacities in community mental health before entering into full time psychotherapy work. She is experienced in working with adolescents, adults, families and couples. Focus areas include early attachment trauma presenting as anxiety, depression, and persistent feelings of "not enough." She also helps couples navigate through conflict, and adolescents navigate through developmental challenges. Her approach is warm, attentive, guiding, and relational. She encourages insight and self-awareness to make different choices that improve well-being, even in the midst of unchanging circumstances. She is also 12 Step-informed and conversational in Korean.
