About My Clients
I work well with motivated adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, relational challenges, identity exploration, and life transitions. Many of my clients are BIPOC individuals unpacking intergenerational trauma, cultural expectations, and systemic stress. I support clients seeking deeper self-understanding, emotional regulation, and more authentic relationships in a reflective, culturally responsive space.
My Background and Approach
My group practice focuses on humanistic and person-centered approaches, as well as culturally responsive care. I have experience working with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, relational concerns, identity exploration, and intergenerational trauma. My work is grounded in the understanding that personal struggles are often shaped by relational, cultural, and systemic contexts. I integrate somatic and mindfulness-based practices to support emotional regulation and nervous system awareness, while using narrative approaches to help clients re-author their stories in ways that feel more aligned and empowering. Clients often appreciate my warm, reflective style and my ability to create a space that fosters both depth and practical change. I work best with motivated clients who are ready to engage thoughtfully in the therapeutic process and move toward more authentic, connected lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing is deeply relational and cannot be separated from culture, identity, and lived experience. My work is guided by values of authenticity, cultural humility, and liberation, with a commitment to honoring the wisdom clients already carry. I am especially aligned with movements and practices that support racial justice, collective healing, and equity in mental health care. As a Black woman and therapist, I am attentive to how systemic stress, intergenerational trauma, and identity-based harm show up in the therapy room. I approach this work with care, accountability, and respect for each client’s autonomy and pace. I believe therapy can be both a space for deep reflection and a catalyst for meaningful, sustainable change—rooted in dignity, connection, and self-trust.
