About My Clients
Dr. Kay specializes in treating clients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar and other mood disorders. My clients are people with emotions, seeking ways to handle emotional concerns with an optimistic outlook to better emotional stability.
My Background and Approach
Her educational background includes a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Psychiatric Mental Health and a Master's in Community/Public Health from the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Dr. Kay completed her nurse practitioner residency program at the VA Boston Health Care System, Massachusetts where she treated veterans with mental health disorders in the inpatient, outpatient, substance use, and urgent care settings. Due to her outstanding veteran-centric care, she received the 3600 Professional Award during her nursing residency at the VA Boston Health Care System in July 2024. Due to her expertise in community and public health nursing, she believes in an adaptive lifestyle approach to mental health treatment. She believes in a holistic approach to achieving optimum levels of wellness and provides holistic care including supportive, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
