About My Clients
I specialize in working with high-achieving professionals struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, and unresolved trauma. As a bilingual, bicultural, Japanese-speaking therapist, I also support clients navigating identity and cultural expectations. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can be real, feel understood, and create lasting change.
My Background and Approach
My approach is collaborative, practical, and empathetic. I work psychodynamically, which means we pay attention to patterns in how you think, relate, and operate, tracing them back to where they started. Understanding the “why” helps change stick, rather than just managing symptoms. That said, insight alone isn’t always enough—I also draw on CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, and somatic tools when they fit your needs. As a Japanese-speaking bilingual therapist, I bring cultural awareness to our work, helping you recognize patterns, address underlying pressures or trauma, and build sustainable coping skills. Sessions are collaborative: you bring what’s on your mind, and we follow what’s most alive in the room. There’s no agenda to perform—just an honest look at what’s actually going on and a focus on moving from understanding to real change in how you feel and relate.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in integrative, holistic healing that nurtures mind, body, and spirit. Staying grounded through yoga, dance, and gardening helps me cultivate balance and presence, while exploring new cultures and perspectives fuels growth and curiosity. I also honor the power of social and cultural influences in shaping how we experience, express, and understand ourselves, and I bring this awareness into my work to support others in finding authentic well-being.
