About My Clients

I specialize in helping adolescents and young adults manage anxiety, stress, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. My approach is compassionate, down-to-earth, and collaborative — creating a space where clients can feel safe to talk, learn coping skills, and discover their own strengths. Whether we meet through telehealth or in the community, my goal is to help clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to make positive changes in their lives.

My Background and Approach

With dual Master’s degrees in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from Canisius University, I’ve spent over 10 years helping students, teens, and young adults navigate emotional challenges, school stress, and life transitions. My background in both education and mental health allows me to see the whole picture — from what’s happening at school or home to how it impacts mood, motivation, and relationships. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and centered on building trust. I use a blend of cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness, and person-centered techniques to help clients understand their emotions, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and find realistic ways to cope and grow. Above all, I believe therapy should feel comfortable, empowering, and even hopeful — a place where clients leave feeling a little lighter and more confident each time.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy should feel like a safe, judgment-free space where you can be yourself — even on the hard days. Growth doesn’t happen from being told what to do; it comes from being understood, supported, and encouraged to explore your own thoughts and feelings. I see therapy as a collaborative journey — not about “fixing” you, but helping you understand yourself more deeply and build the tools to navigate life’s ups and downs with confidence and self-compassion. Everyone deserves a space to feel heard, accepted, and capable of change.
