About My Clients
To an outsider, your life might look pretty good, but deep down inside you feel dissatisfied, disconnected, and unlovable. You give your all to others, and yet your own tank feels empty. Sometimes you try to fill this hole with distractions; like unhealthy relationships, food, or alcohol. You stay really busy (too busy!) to avoid feeling anything unpleasant and to distract from the self-doubting voices in your head.
My Background and Approach
I help people feel more connected to themselves and others. With nearly a decade of experience as a therapist, I specialize in working with emotional dysregulation, relationship challenges, and self-esteem struggles. My style is warm, engaged, and attuned to the whole person—you are more than your symptoms, and I’m here to help you reconnect with your strengths. My work is grounded in approaches that include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I integrate these frameworks to support clients in understanding and healing the deeper parts of themselves, especially those that feel stuck, reactive, or critical. Together, we explore patterns that no longer serve you and build a path forward rooted in self-compassion, motivation, and clarity.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone deserves a safe, non-judgmental space to heal and grow. I believe that transformation happens when people are heard, seen and loved for exactly who they are. Working in community mental health with marginalized populations for 6 years prior to transitioning to private practice, has truly given me a sense of how resilient people are and an admiration for what they can achieve in the face of systemic, multigenerational trauma, oppression, sexism and racism.
