About My Clients

I offer HIPPA compliant telehealth sessions (video, phone, or text). My specialty is working with people who struggle with anxiety, but I work with most any issue. I am experienced in crisis intervention, working with psychosis, and depression. I have real life experience with LGBTQIA+ and consensual non-monogamy. I implement that experience into my counseling for those that need that extra support.

My Background and Approach

I received my BA in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Clemson University in 2002. Following this, I received my MA in Professional Mental Health counseling from Webster University in 2007. I am licensed in the state of SC (Licensed Professional Counselor – LPC). I also have a temporary license during the pandemic in the following states: New Jersey, Kentucky, Maine, and Massachusetts. I am able to work in certain other states as well, you can find these on my website. I have worked as a counselor for over 15 years and have done text/video therapy for the last 3 years. I am a person-centered therapist with an eclectic approach. I utilize tools from CBT and DBT to help you achieve your goals. Sometimes people just want someone to talk to and I'm here for that as well.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I identify as a progressive Christian. I am part of the LGBTQ community. I believe that Black Lives Matter and that it's important to wear masks to stop the spread of COVID-19. I am also a strong believer that animals are therapeutic.
