About My Clients
My ideal clients are those experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, or grief, as well as those working through issues related to self-esteem, and communication. I also have a special passion for working with children and adults. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, accepted, and empowered to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
My Background and Approach
I’m trained in various therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My work is rooted in providing a safe, supportive environment where clients can process difficult emotions, explore new ways of thinking, and practice healthy coping skills. As someone who has walked a similar path to many of my clients, I bring both professional and personal insight to my practice. My goal is to empower clients to build self-awareness, resilience, and lasting positive change in their lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I firmly believe in a person-centered and strengths-based approach, which means I view my clients as the experts of their own lives. Therapy should be a collaborative journey where we work together to identify strengths, set goals, and overcome obstacles. My approach is also trauma-informed, understanding that past experiences deeply influence our present and future. I emphasize the importance of harm reduction and working toward a healthier, more balanced relationship with oneself and others.
