About My Clients
Are you feeling like it might be time to try something different? Are you feeling stuck in your creative process, career, your schooling, or in your relationships? Is something holding you back from living truly authentically in the presence of others, or even towards yourself? I hope to curate a space between us that is safe, non-judgmental and affirming so that you may explore the full spectrum of your experience, and cultivate a positive relationship with yourself and with others.
My Background and Approach
I received my MA in mental health counseling and art therapy from Antioch University Seattle in 2017, and have worked in community mental health since 2013. I have worked alongside diverse populations and have experience working with both teens and adults using traditional talk therapy, art therapy and EMDR. I have a collaborative and person-centered approach. My role as your therapist is to work alongside you through a lens of cultural humility and with the strengths and wisdom you already have to cultivate healing, while helping you gain new skills and discover new insights into what it means to be you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are able to make the changes they want to make when they feel cared for and safe. It is my philosophy in therapy to provide a welcoming, inclusive and affirming space for all the different parts of you that make you unique. You are the expert of your experience; I am your witness and guide. Once we understand what is getting in the way, we can work together to identify how to enrich your life so you may be able to live more peacefully and with fulfillment.
