About My Clients
My clients appreciate that I bring joy, honesty, and relatability to our sessions. I value connection, curiosity, and kindness. I love to work with kids, teens, young adults, and parents. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space for individuals to be themselves fully without shame so they can find their way in the world as they navigate anxiety/OCD, life transitions, perfectionism, body image concerns, eating disorders, and friendship issues.
My Background and Approach
My previous experience includes working in a private practice setting with individual clients and leading several weekly groups for kids and teens, focusing on anxiety coping skills and executive functioning skill building. I utilize expressive and creative interventions including games, LEGO, art-based activities, and books to build skills related to emotion regulation, frustration tolerance, flexibility, conflict resolution, assertiveness, mindfulness, and improving confidence. I have specialized training in parent support including the Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) treatment modality through the Yale Child Study Center and I am a certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator. My professional experience and knowledge inform my practice but my clients are at the heart of each session. I bring their interests into the room so that we can build upon strengths vs. deficits.
