About My Clients
Is your daughter not quite herself lately? Maybe she's more anxious than she used to be, or shutting down in ways that feel new. Maybe school has become harder than it should be, or family conversations that used to feel easy now feel challenging. You're not alone in noticing, and you're right to want more for her. I work with adolescent girls (ages 12-18) and their families, offering a space where your daughter can be met exactly as she is, and where you can feel supported in supporting her.
My Background and Approach
Before opening my private practice, I spent seven years as a school-based clinician across Bay Area districts. In those years, I sat with hundreds of adolescent girls in the ordinary moments of their days: between classes, during lunch, and in the middle of hard conversations with families. I learned how much can shift when a girl encounters an adult who really listens without agenda, with patience, and without needing her to be different than she is. I hold a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) from Tulane University, California LCSW licensure, and a Pupil Personnel Services Credential. My approach draws from attachment-based, emotionally focused, feminist, and trauma-informed traditions. What this means for your daughter: a clinician who understands adolescent girls not just clinically, but in the context of the schools and families where they actually live. Someone who can meet her exactly as she is.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My work is grounded in the belief that adolescent girls deserve to be taken seriously: their experiences, their voices, their developmental stage. This isn't just my clinical stance; it's a value I hold about how young women deserve to move through the world. I bring a feminist-informed approach to clinical practice, drawing on relational-cultural theory and attention to the specific pressures adolescent girls face in high-achievement environments. I believe in accessible mental health care and offer a sliding-scale option through Open Path Collective to make specialty adolescent care available to families across income levels. I'm committed to ongoing learning about how cultural context, identity, and family systems shape adolescent development. My work reflects respect for the full range of families I serve, including LGBTQ+ adolescents and families across diverse cultural backgrounds.
