About My Clients
My clients are kids who need reminders of how their strengths make them special & can help them conquer any challenges they are facing. My clients are ready to talk about what changes they want in their lives and areas that they can improve in. We all can work on ourselves, and sometimes that means reaching out for help....thats where I come in. I look forward to working with you on developing tools & strategies to achieve your personal goals.
My Background and Approach
The tools that I will help you develop are tools that will help you daily & will be lifelong skills. I have 6 years working with adolescents and their families. I have worked with individuals in a crisis setting, outpatient setting, education setting and hospital setting. I have primarily worked with kids ages 5-17 and their caregivers. I specialize with kids who are experiencing anxiety, depression, Autism, familial challenges (divorce, foster care, CPS involvement), Trauma, intellectual disabilities and self-harming behavior. We'll work collaboratively to address what areas you'd like to see growth & change. We will discuss how your emotions affect your thoughts, actions and behaviors. We will identify your strengths and how they shape who you are. We will work on developing resilience to help overcome future challenges you might endure.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone is working on themselves daily; that there is nobody who is perfect. I believe that we all have overcome challenges and have learned from them. Through my own life experiences, I have learned that asking for support takes courage and it is the first step towards acknowledging that change is good. I make it a point to educate myself on cultural & worldly issues that are affecting our daily climate. I do not discriminate against anyone & make it a point to be empathetic towards experiences I have never had. I am an ally in the LGBTQ+ community, lover of all animals & avid sports fan (how about them Giants?!).
