About My Clients
Whether childhood trauma, interpersonal trauma, or grief/loss, I will support you in exploring the difficult emotions you are facing and will work collaboratively with you towards building a more meaningful and fulfilling life. I most often work with survivors of childhood trauma, interpersonal traumas, and traumatic grief. I hope to help you achieve an improved sense of healing and self-worth. In my practice, I offer evidenced-based practices such as EMDR therapy and Trauma-Focused Therapies.
My Background and Approach
I am an EMDRIA certified EMDR therapist and specialize in supporting trauma survivors. I practice relationally with an emphasis on creating trust and safety. I utilize an IFS-informed EMDR approach, which means I will help you to welcome and become curious about the parts of you which may be holding pain related to your past experiences as well as the protective parts of you that have helped you to survive. I believe therapy should be affirming and trauma informed. I will meet you where you are and be a nurturing support as you work towards achieving your goals. I hope to help you achieve an improved sense of freedom and joy through healing past wounds that continue to impact you in the present. I believe our work together can be an avenue towards greater insight, self-awareness, and personal growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy should be accessible, culturally-responsive, and trauma-informed. I am an advocate for survivors of interpersonal trauma and an ally to those in marginalized communities. I have worked for many years as a Trauma Therapist and Program Director in a local Domestic Violence Organization and support victims of crime through my work. I have experience working in various mental health organizations and believe all individuals should have access to care that is welcoming, affirming, and safe.
