About My Clients
My values are transparency, accessibility, and equity. I provide private pay, sliding scale rates to foster and adoptive parents and adult adoptees that may have trouble accessing sensitive, informed care. Foster Parent Therapy provides telehealth to foster and adoptive parents in California to support the bonding, attachment, and permanency of children in family homes. Kinship families welcome!
My Background and Approach
I am a relational therapist with a background in psychodynamic therapy and a focus in treating childhood trauma. I have trained in Trauma Focused CBT and therapeutic parenting strategies. I am a certified trainer for the Nurtured Heart Approach as well as Adoption Competent Therapy through the Center for Adoption Support and Education. My family was the California Department of Social Services Adoptive Family of the Year in 2022.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Every individual needs support and acceptance, and every individual deserves an individual approach - in our time together, I will work to identify interventions and approaches that work best for you. We will identify your goals together, and make the treatment plan to meet those goals together. Creating a welcoming, safe space to explore is vital to me, and it is my job to create a non-judgmental and supportive space for you. My goal is to help you be open and self-reflective, and also to allow you space to be your own advocate and the expert in your own lived experience - I welcome and encourage conversation and exchange. Taking the first step on the path is difficult, and I am here to walk with you.
